166 dengue cases naitala! Mayor Evangelista asks Kidapawan people to ensure clean surroundings

Kidapawan City Mayor Jose Paolo M. Evangelista has reminded the Kidapaweños to always ensure that their surroundings are clean to prevent the rising cases of dengue in the city.

This, as the Surveillance Monitoring Report of the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit recorded 166 cases of dengue fever as of February 24.

“Mula sa 141 na naitalang kaso ng dengue noong Morbidity Week 7 (January 1- February 17), nadagdagan pa ito ng dalawampu’t limang (25) kaso ng sakit sa Morbidity Week 8 sa ginawang monitoring ng CESU,” the city government said on Saturday, March 2.

Of the 166 cases, 159 were hospitalized while one died due to complications.

“Bunga nito ay pinag-iingat pa rin ni City Mayor Atty. Jose Paolo M. Evangelista ang lahat kaya dapat lang na ugaliing malinis ang paligid at puksain ang mga lugar na pinamumugaran ng lamok, proteksyunan ang sarili ng hindi makagat ng lamok at agad magpakonsulta sa doktor kung may lagnat ang pasyente na siya namang pangunahing sintomas ng dengue,” the city government said.
