2 dead in separate shooting incidents in GenSan

Two persons died in separate shooting incidents in General Santos City on Monday.

The General Santos City Police Office said the first incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m., where a 39-year old woman was shot and killed outside her home in Barangay Fatima.

According to local media reports, the victim was shot dead by motorcycle-riding suspects.

Another shooting occurred on Barangay Dadiangas West later at about 6:40 p.m. The victim was identified as 29-year old resident of Purok Sta. Cruz, Silway.

On Saturday, retired State Auditor Manuel “Maning” Malinao was also gunned down by still unidentified suspects in his home in Sta. Cruz, Barangay Dadiangas West, around 7 a.m. Some residents have called on General Santos City Mayor Lorelie Pacquiao over supposed failure of her administration to resolve the rising numbers of shooting incidents and other peace and order concerns hounding the city.
