The Agusan del Sur government joins the nation in celebrating Philippine Creative Industries Month (PCIM).
With the theme “We Are a Creative Nation,” the month-long celebration recognizes the vital role of the creative sector in showcasing Filipino talent, culture, innovation, and ingenuity while creating opportunities for artists, creators, entrepreneurs, and other creative professionals to contribute to national and local development.
The provincial government said it supports efforts that promote creativity, preserve cultural identity, and provide spaces where local talents and creative communities can thrive and affirm “that creativity is not only an expression of who we are, but also a force that can help build communities and drive inclusive growth.”
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. earlier signed a memorandum circular, ordering all government agencies to support the month-long PCIM celebration and urging local government units and the private sector to participate in the activities.
Republic Act No. 11904, or the Philippine Creative Industries Development Act, provides for the observance of PCIM every September.
