Bangsamoro Airways to fly in BARMM – official

The Bangsamoro Airways, the first airline company based in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), is set to have its inaugural flight on Wednesday, April 24.

Bangsamoro Board of Investments (BBOI) Chairperson Mohammad Pasigan said the airline firm, being operated by the Federal Airways, will connect the mainland BARMM to other island provinces in the region to boost the economy and tourism, among others.

He said the airways will first fly to Zamboanga and Sulu and can accommodate six to 10 passengersm including the aviators.

The operation can expand to municipalities of Sibutu and Mapun in Tawi-Tawi after three months of operation and to Kuta Kinabalu, Malaysia after a year.
