Bangsamoro gov’t breaks ground for P42.5-M housing project in Basilan

The Bangsamoro government has conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for the P42.5-million housing project for the mujahideen and members of the women sector in Lantawan, Basilan.

Ministry of Human Settlement and Development (MHSD) Minister Hamid Aminoddin Barra assured the beneficiaries of the 50 housing units of the regional government’s commitment to providing decent homes to vulnerable Bangsamoro.

“We are here to deliver this project with gratitude. We are pleased with the leadership of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) as exemplified by the Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim, ensuring that our projects extend to every part of the Bangsamoro area,” Barra said during the recent event.

“We hope that no Bangsamoro will be left behind in all BARMM (Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao) projects, particularly those led by the MHSD. We are pleased to be with you, and we ask for your prayers and cooperation as we serve and are part of the Bangsamoro government,” he added.

The housing project in Bulanza village is part of BARMM Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim’s enhanced 12-point priority agenda, which is funded under the General Appropriations Act of the Bangsamoro (GAAB) of 2024.
