Bangsamoro gov’t ink deal for P280M infra projects in Lanao del Sur

The Bangsamoro government has signed a contract to mark the start of P280-million worth of infrastructure projects in Lanao del Sur province.

The contract, which the Ministry of Public Works (MPW) inked, covers projects under the P167.955 million Special Development Fund (SDF) 2022 and the P112.236 million Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) 2022-2023.

Present in the signing ceremony were the MPW officials and representatives from the winning private contractors.

The Bangsamoro government said the SDF will fund projects aimed at enhancing the road network and water supply systems in various parts of Lanao del Sur’s second district. These projects include the construction and opening of new road phases, the concreting of existing roads, and the installation of water systems in underserved areas.

Meanwhile, the TDIF will support a wide range of community infrastructure projects, such as barangay roads, installation of solar street lights, development of water systems, construction of covered courts, and the establishment of children’s parks and multipurpose buildings.

The initiatives are spread across several municipalities, including Picong, Butig, Lumbayanague, Bayang, Malabang, and Balindong, the regional government said.
