Butuan City LGU, Land Bank ink deal for online financial transactions

The Butuan City government, under the leadership of Mayor Ronnie Vicente Lagnada, and the state-run Land Bank of the Philippines have signed a memorandum of agreement for online payment services.

The city government said the Business Permits and Licensing Department inked the deal following the passage of an ordinance by the Sangguniang Panlungsod that institutionalizes the use of an electronic payment system in all financial transactions with the Butuan LGU.

“Mas dali na sa mga kliyente ang pagbayad ilawom sab sa Enhanced Tax Revenue Assessment and Collection System kon E-TRACS. Dali na ang pagbayad sa taxes, permits, ug uban pang transaksyon nga iagi sa online,” it said.

The city government said the new agreement complies with Republic Act No. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Services Delivery Act of 2018.

During the event, Lagnada presented the city government’s accomplishments and other development plans.
