CM Ebrahim calls for unity during Eid’l Adha observance

Bangsamoro government Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim has joined the Bangsamoro people in performing the Eid al-Adha prayer as he called for unity among them.

The gathering was held on Sunday, June 16, at the Bangsamoro Government Center in Cotabato City.

In his message, Ebrahim said, “It is also my hope that, as a community, we can work together to build a society that transcends our cultural, religious, and political divides.”

He also urged the Bangsamoro community to “emulate the devotion of Prophet Ibrahim, especially in times when fate is not on our side.”

Eid al-Adha or the “Feast of Sacrifice” commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering faith and obedience to Allah. The story of his willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of sacrifice and devotion.

The Chief Minister said that through the sacrifices and obedience of the Bangsamoro people, they have progressed in the struggle for justice and equality.
