CM Ebrahim sets new working hours for Bangsamoro regional gov’t during Ramadan

Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim has issued a memorandum, setting the flexible working hours for the regional government during the month of Ramadan.

Ramadan is a month-long sacred time for Muslims globally to reflect, pray, and fast as a means of spiritual discipline and strengthened faith, as one of the five pillars of Islam.

Under the Office of the Chief Minister’s (OCM) Memorandum Order Circular No. 035 series of 2024, the flexible working hours begin on Monday, March 11, at 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This is also in relation to Presidential Decree (PD) No. 291 and Civil Service Commission (CSC) Resolution No. 81-277, which were further clarified by CSC Resolution No. 02072 and the Bangsamoro Autonomy Act No. 17.

Ebrahim, represented by Senior Minister Abunawas Maslamama, said that this ninth month of the Hijri calendar renews the sense of belief in Allah, the worshipped God in Islam, among Muslims worldwide.

After the celebration of Eid’l Fitr, regular working hours in the region shall resume.
