Cong. Steve Chiongbian Solon Unveils Ambitious Infrastructure Project at Barangay Blaan’s 32nd Anniversary Celebration

Barangay Blaan of Malungon marked its 32nd Founding Anniversary with a fervent display of community spirit and ambition. Notable attendees included the Chief of Staff of Congressman Engineer Gerald G. Faciol and Mayor Maria Theresa D. Constantino, accompanied by her father, underscoring the significance of the event.

The event reached a crescendo with the announcement from the Chief of Staff of Congressman Steve Chiongbian Solon, who extended congratulations to the community while unveiling the ambitious 50 Million Road Continuation Project. This initiative seeks to forge a vital link between Barangay Blaan and Sitio Datal Bago Road, building upon the success of the previous 12 Million Road Project spearheaded by Congressman Solon. The proposed infrastructure development holds the promise of enhanced connectivity and accessibility for residents, heralding a new era of economic prosperity and societal advancement.

Mayor Maria Theresa D. Constantino, in her impassioned address, stressed the imperative of rallying behind governmental endeavors and celebrating the progress of the Blaan community as a pioneering Indigenous Peoples (IP) enclave in Malungon. Former Mayor Bong Bong Constantino delivered a poignant message, urging the youth of Barangay Blaan to remain steadfast in their pursuit of education. Barangay Captain Sweetly Mar Galang lauded the commendable achievements and advancements of Barangay Blaan, attributing much of the success to collaborative efforts between the local government unit of Malungon, the Congressional office, and the provincial administration. The 32nd Foundation Anniversary of Barangay Blaan in Malungon, Sarangani Province, emerged as a resplendent celebration of culture, talent, and unity. Under the theme “Sa Blaan may kalambuan, Bongga ka Blaan!”, the event showcased mesmerizing dance performances by the students of Barangay Blaan, further highlighting the vibrancy and dynamism of the community.
