Congressman Solon Leads Groundbreaking Ceremony at Barangay Kinam’s 52nd Founding Anniversary

Congressman Steve Chiongbian Solon, along with Malapatan Mayor Salway “Jun” Sumbo Jr. and DPWH District Engineer Rey Francisco, attended the 52nd Founding Anniversary celebration at Barangay Kinam. The event marked a pivotal moment, not just in honoring the past but also in laying the groundwork for a promising future. The ceremony included the groundbreaking for the Farm to Market Road and the concreting of the Junction National Highway from Lun Padidu to Daan Suyan, crucial routes linking to an indigenous community in Kinam Road, Malapatan, Sarangani Province.

A highlight of the occasion was the unveiling of a transformative project valued at PHP 96,142,923.09, fully funded by Congressman Steve Chiongbian Solon. This initiative underscores Congressman Solon’s steadfast dedication to infrastructure development, community empowerment, and environmental sustainability.

In his address, Congressman Solon stressed the significance of ongoing support for government initiatives and urged indigenous peoples to participate in tree planting efforts for environmental conservation and community well-being. He also pledged an additional 5 million Pesos for the construction of a Kasfala Hall Building, providing essential space for communal gatherings and activities.

Mayor Salway Sumbo expressed gratitude for the substantial project facilitated by Congressman Solon, highlighting its profound impact on community progress and welfare. The presence of DPWH District Engineer Rey Francisco underscored the collaborative endeavors between government agencies and local leadership in fostering sustainable development.
