Cotabato City inaugurates Ligtas Covid Center

Cotabato City Mayor Frances Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi, along with other local officials, led Wednesday, June 3, the inauguration of the Cotabato City Ligtas Covid Center.

Located at Malagapas, Rosary Heights 10, the center will serve as the temporary shelter for the 14-day mandatory quarantine for positive Covid-19 asymptomatic patients in the city, the local government said.

It has 42 beds with cubicle partition complete with medical kits and CCTV for monitoring and free WiFi connection.

Vice Mayor Graham Nazer Dumama said the center is fully furnished and well ventilated for the welfare of the patients who will be admitted.

However, the official said no one is allowed to visit the center except for the health workers and personnel assigned per shift.

“On behalf of the City Government of Cotabato and as chairperson of the City IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force) committee, I am seeking for everyone’s cooperation in fighting this deadly pandemic. We have high rate of patients who survived yet the best we can do is to follow all the guidelines religiously and be vigilant in our surroundings. Never forget to wear mask and always bring alcohol,” the vice mayor said.
