Cotabato Gov Mendoza sworn in before PBBM as RDC XII chair

Cotabato Governor Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza has taken her oath before President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as chair of the Regional Development Council (RDC) XII.

Mendoza joined the other RDC heads during the oath-taking ceremony held in Malacañan Palace, Manila, on Tuesday, April 30.

The event was held as Marcos convened the RDC Chairpersons’ Meeting.

“Kabilang sa mga napag-usapan sa naturang pagpupulong ang prayoridad na programa at proyekto ng mga RDCs na paglalaanan ng pondo ng iba’t ibang ahensya para sa taong 2025 o 2026 at ang pag-apruba ng pangulo sa Draft Executive Order (EO) strengthening the RDCs and repealing EO 325, series of 1996 entitled the ‘Reorganization of the Regional Development Councils’,” the provincial government said.

As RDC XII chair, it said that Mendoza was happy for the opportunity to serve not only her constituents in Cotabato but the entire Soccsksargen as well.

“Nagpasalamat din ito sa suporta at tiwala ng iba’t ibang stakeholders sa kanyang kapasidad at pamunuan,” the provincial government said.
