Councilor Rivera backs 5-year PRC ID validity bill

General Santos City Councilor Jane Rivera echoed her call for the final passage of a landmark bill extending the validity of professional identification cards issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to five years.

In a resolution, Rivera also commended members of the House of Representatives for approving in third and final reading House Bill 9764.

The measure seeks to extend to five years the validity of the professional ID and Certificate of Registration of every professional under the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
The bill seeks ease the burden of local professionals in renewing their licenses.

Rivera said that once approved, it will further help professionals in the city practice their profession efficiently as it will ease their burden of renewing their licenses every three years.

It will also reduce the expenses of the renewal process, she said.
