Dalipe admin releases cash incentives to 52 seniors in Zamboanga City

The Zamboanga City government under the leadership of Mayor John Dalipe has distributed cash incentives to octogenarians and nonagenarians in the city.

A total of P520,000 was released by the city government during the payout to 52 senior citizens held at the Elderly Center in Sta. Catalina.

Dalipe, represented by Councilor Jordan Evangelista and Executive Assistant Edna Sumergido, led the distribution of cash incentives to 45 octogenarians (80-89 years old) and seven nonagenarians (90-99 years old).

To ensure that all eligible beneficiaries would receive their incentives, house-to-house distributions were also organized for those who could not travel to the center.

The beneficiaries came from various barangays including Barangays Baliwasan, Kampung Islam, Kasanyangan, Mariki, Rio Hondo, San Jose Cawa-Cawa, San Jose Gusu, Sta. Barbara, Sta. Catalina, Sto. Niño, Zone I, Zone II, and Zone III.

The financial support under Ordinance 539 is designed to alleviate the needs and expenses of senior citizens, demonstrating the city’s commitment to honoring and supporting the elderly members of the community.
