Dalipe admin seeks DAP help for Zamboanga City LGU’s ISO standard

The Zamboanga City government, under the leadership of Mayor John Dalipe, has sought the technical expertise of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) to attain a strong quality management system.

Dalipe welcomed recently in his office DAP consultants Hazelyn Bhure and Evangeline Diche.

The consultants were on a 4-day face-to-face training course on ISO QMS 9001:2015 for the ISO Core Team of the city, composed of department heads and division chiefs, the city government said.

Before that, DAP conducted an online orientation to introduce quality concepts and principles and enhance the participants’ awareness and appreciation of the standard.

Dalipe, in his State of the City Address (SOCA) last year, promised to work hard to promote standardization of management systems and processes and to boost employee performance and productivity by transitioning to ISO 9001:2015.

The journey to ISO standardization with DAP consultants will take eight months leading up to the accreditation phase based on a memorandum of agreement entered into by the city government and DAP.

DAP is a government-owned and controlled corporation with an original charter under PD No. 2015, with mandates focused on approaches to national development.
