Dumlao admin breaks ground for Surigao City boulevard, wharf rehab project

The Surigao City government under the leadership of Mayor Pablo Yves L. Dumlao II has conducted a groundbreaking ceremony for the repair, rehabilitation, and improvement of the City Boulevard and Wharf.

The city government said the project aims to address the damages brought by Typhoon Odette in December 2021 and uplift the city’s coastal infrastructure.

It spans a stretch of 500 meters from Parola to the iconic “I Love Surigao” landmark, then 400 meters to Pacemco, and another 100 meters to Magallanes.

“Initiated under the leadership of City Mayor Pablo Yves L. Dumlao II, the project stands as a testament to proactive governance and strategic collaboration,” the city government said.

Dumlao thanked Presidential Assistant for Eastern Mindanao Leo Tereso Abellera Magno for his assistance in the project.

“As the rehabilitation of the City Boulevard and Wharf commences, Surigao City reaffirms its commitment to delivering quality public service and advancing the welfare of its constituents. Through collaborative endeavors and steadfast determination, the city looks forward to a brighter, more resilient future,” the local government said.
