Eid al-Adha a time to extend hands to people in need — Dalipe

In the celebration of Eid al-Adha, House Majority Leader and Zamboanga City Rep. Manuel Jose Dalipe urged the public to remember the less fortunate and extend a helping hand to them.

Dalipe said Eid al-Adha or the Festival of Sacrifice, “is a time of profound reflection, gratitude, and generosity.”

“It commemorates the unwavering faith and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim and reminds us of the values of sacrifice, compassion, and solidarity,” he said.

The House leader said the celebration “is a testament to the rich cultural and religious tapestry of our beloved country, and it is an opportunity for all Filipinos to foster stronger bonds within our communities.”

“In the spirit of Eid al-Adha, let us come together as a nation, united in our diversity, and committed to the principles of peace, respect, and mutual understanding,” he said.

“As we observe this sacred festival, let us also remember those who are less fortunate and extend our hands to help those in need. May this Eid bring joy, peace, and prosperity to every home, and may we all be inspired to act with kindness and humility in our daily lives,” Dalipe added.
