GenSan, DTI ink pack to promote small businesses

The General Santos City government and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) aimed to further boost the local businesses in the city.

Mayor Lorelie Pacquiao signed the agreement on Friday.

“Pormal nang nilagdaan ni Mayor Lorelie Geronimo Pacquiao ang Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) sa pagitan ng lokal na pamahalaan ng General Santos City at DTI ngayong araw, Hunyo 28, 2024 sa City Mayor’s Office para sa isasagawang Trade and Product Development Program o Yabong Maliliit na Negosyo (YaMaN) Gensan 2024,” the city government announced.

The city government and the DTI has recently concluded the month-long Yaman GenSan, an annual event that celebrates and promotes the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) industry.

“A total of 65 MSMEs from the Gensan Food Quest Vendors Association participated in the YAMAN Gensan Vendor’s Fair, showcasing for sale a variety of food and non-food products, in the process earning more than Php 3 million in sales,” DTI said.
