GenSan execs deny receiving P50K from Mayor Pacquiao

Department heads of the city government of General Santos cried foul on Thursday after Vice Mayor Rosalita Nuñez accused them of receiving P50,000 from Mayor Lorelie Pacquiao.

City Accountant Coralynn Gacal Espinosa denied the allegations of Nuñez that officials of the city government are receiving money from the chief executive.

“With due respect po, sana katotohanan lang ang inyong laging sambitin. wala po akong pakialam sa away politika. kahit ano po ang sabihin nyong kakulangan ng mayor o ng department heads sa pagsisilbi sa katawhan, tanggap po namin yan. kc from your point of view po yan. kung sa ibservation nyo hindi sapat ang delivered service namin, welcome po na comment yan para mag improve po kami lalo. PERO YANG AKUSAHAN NYO KAMI NA TUMATANGGAP KAMI NG 50k KADA MEETING NAMIN WITH THE MAYOR, ay‼️ ibang usapan na po yan,” Espinosa posted in her Facebook.

“Sa dinami dami ng meetings na nangyayari between DH and CM, ang yaman na po pala namin. mapapa #sanaol na lang po kami nito. be fair. be honest. be truthful. kung may evidence po kayo na tumanggap kami ng 50k kada meeting, send nyo po MOV, kay ibigay ko po sa inyo,” she added.

Nuñez, in a press conference, also criticized the Pacquiao administration for its ‘ayudas’ and dole-out instead of creating sustainable opportunities and livelihood programs for the residents.

“Pagmeeting ang mga department heads, sinkuwenta mil. Pagmiting sa taga-engineering, tig P1,000. Bisan asa siya moadto… So, sa sunod nga election. sayon man nga gastusan ang election kung dili nimo kuwarta,” the vice mayor said.
