Gobyernong malinis: ARTA hails GenSan LGU’s anti-red tape measures

The Anti-Red Tape Authority on Thursday commended the administration of General Santos City Mayor Lorelie Pacquiao for its best practices on ease of doing business and anti-red tape initiatives.

ARTA Regional Chief Rhuelo Aradanas reportedly declared that the city has met the ARTA checklist, passing both the core area on Compliance with ARTA Provisions and Overall Client Satisfaction.

This will be the first time that the city be conferred with ARTA Seal of Excellence on May for its compliance to the provisions of Republic Act 9485, known as the Anti-Red Tape Act.

Last year, Cagayan de Oro City is the only one for Mindanao who have been awarded a certificate of commendation by ARTA.

Meanwhile, Mayor Pacquiao expressed gratitude to ARTA for the recognition.

“Talagang pinagsisikapan natin na mawala ang red tape at korapsyon sa ating lokal na pamahalaan. Ginagawa natin ang lahat para mapabuti pa ang ating pagserbisyo, dahil hangad natin ang gobyernong malinis para ang pag-unlad natin ay mabilis,” Pacquiao said in a message to Politiko.
