Gov. Abdulraof Macacua Emphasizes Progress in Bangsamoro Peace Accord Implementation

Governor Abdulraof “Gob Sam” A. Macacua emphasized the strides made in addressing historical injustices against the Moro people during the “Local CAB Normalization Implementation Planning Workshop” held here yesterday.

In his address, Governor Macacua reflected on the challenges faced by the Moro community and commended the government’s efforts in implementing programs such as the Normalization of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB). These initiatives aim to address past grievances and establish the Bangsamoro government, fulfilling the long-standing fight for self-determination among the Moro people.

“The journey towards peace has been marked by challenges and sacrifices. Yet, gatherings like this serve as a beacon of hope, reaffirming our unwavering dedication to the cause of peace and principles of reconciliation,” Governor Macacua stated.

Highlighting the importance of the CAB in the peace process, Governor Macacua underscored its role in promoting socioeconomic development and creating restorative opportunities for the Moro community.
