Gov Dimaporo commends planned construction of Lanao del Norte Hall of Justice

Lanao del Norte Governor Imelda “Angging” Dimaporo has hailed the upcoming construction of a Hall of Justice in the province.

The governor recently met representatives from the Supreme Court at the Governor’s Conference Room, Provincial Capitol, Pigcarangan, Tubod to discuss the substantial upgrade of the province’s judicial infrastructure with the building of its own Hall of Justice.

Representatives from the Supreme Court’s Office of the Court Administrator, led by Leo Tolentino Madrazo, Deputy Court Administrator for Mindanao, and Rodolfo Bundoc, Chief Judicial Staff Officer, presented a range of plans and designs for the proposed Hall of Justice, giving the Lanao del Norte government the opportunity to choose the most suitable design, the provincial government said.

The Dimaporo administration has vowed to donating and providing usufruct for a 3,000-square meter area for the building’s construction at the Provincial Capitol Compound, just beside the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office building along the national highway.

The Hall of Justice is poised to become a comprehensive judicial hub, featuring essential facilities such as mediation offices, a library, courtrooms, staff rooms, judge chambers, a family court, and voice and data rooms, among others.

“I hope that in May 2024, we can have the detailed engineering and program of works so that we can start and finish the construction on time, just before I end my last term as Governor,” Dimaporo said.
