Gov. Emmylou Taliño-Mendoza Celebrates Cotabato’s Coffee Triumph

Cotabato’s pride, “Kape Premium” from Kuri Integrated Farm, just rocked the coffee world by clinching a spot in the Top 6 at the Philippine Coffee Quality Competition 2024! The exciting showdown took place on June 9 in Makati City, with fierce competition from 50 top-notch entries nationwide.

Governor Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza was all smiles during a special visit from Ylaine Joyce Giangan, the brains behind the award-winning brew. The governor couldn’t contain her excitement, hailing the win as proof of Cotabato’s coffee supremacy.

“This accolade is a testament to the exceptional quality of our local products,” gushed the Politiko. She vowed that the provincial government, alongside the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), will ramp up efforts to boost Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Cotabato.

The celebratory visit also saw key figures in attendance, including DTI Cotabato officials TIDS Friche Rabaya and VCF Christine Dueñas, Provincial Advisory Council (PAC) member Judge Lily Lydia A. Laquindanum, MSME Permanent Designate Mabel Lynnel Calungsod, council member Teresita Español, and Margian Warner from the Cotabato Province Investment Promotion Center (CPIPC).
