Gov Gonzaga congratulates 32 PWUDs in Davao de Oro for getting second chance

Davao de Oro Governor Dorothy M. Gonzaga has congratulated the 32 persons who use drugs (PWUDs) as they have regained their freedom through a court order.

The PWUDs will be reintegrated into mainstream of society through the help of Davao de Oro Transformative Program Kontra Druga (DdOT-KD), a community-based rehabilitation program for plea bargaining.

“Because you’ve given another chance sa inyong kinabuhi, ayaw … ayaw… usiki ang kahigayunan nga mabalik mo sa tagsa tagsa ka mga kamunidad para mabuhi nga mas malinawon, mas progresibo, ug mas hapsay kauban ang inyong pamilya,” said Gonzaga, who is also the chairperson of Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC).

She also expressed her gratitude for all the support from concerned offices and agencies.

The governor assured that the government is fully committed to reforming lives and fostering safer and more resilient communities.
