Gov Gonzaga leads turns over of TCTs to land beneficiaries in Davao de Oro

Davao de Oro Governor Dorothy M. Gonzaga has led the ceremonial turnover of copies of Transfer Certificates of Title (TCTs) for the beneficiaries of resettlement projects in the province.

The provincial government said 339 individuals secured a copy of their TCTs out of the 443 beneficiaries from Lower Ulip Resettlement Project in Barangay Poblacion; 244 out of 544 beneficiaries from Sariwarain Village in Barangay Union; 310 out of 431 beneficiaries from Sarimagdaleno Village in Barangay Olaycon; and 896 out of 1,571 beneficiaries from Monkayo Housing Project 3 in Barangay Union, all in Monkayo town.

The recipients of the TCTs were the families displaced by Super Typhoon Pablo in 2012.

The release of the titles, through the PAO-Housing and Homesite Division (HHD), was held on July 2-4.

Gonzaga, in her message, urged the beneficiaries who have issues and concerns about their titles to consult the PAO-HHD and forward those concerns to the National Housing Authority (NHA).

Other beneficiaries failed to get their TCTs because of the problems with their documents.

“Lami atong pamati kay pasabot nag dawat ka karun , imong ngalan naa sa record namo, so naa nakay nag-ung-ong na daan nga katungod … Idangop [ang mga issues] sa housing division aron kahibaw mi unsaon mo pag-tabang,” the governor said.

Meanwhile, PAO-HHD Head Sue Gertrude Generale said the provincial government is waiting for the NHA to execute a Special Power of Attorney authorizing the province to facilitate the immediate turnover of the original titles in favor of the beneficiaries.
