Gov. Lala Taliño-Mendoza Champions Cash-for-Work Project in Arakan!

Cotabato Governor Emmylou “Lala” J. Taliño-Mendoza is making waves with the latest cash-for-work initiative under Project LAWA at BINHI. Spearheaded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), this program is set to benefit 2,485 residents of Cotabato, offering a lifeline to communities facing food insecurity and water scarcity.

Teaming up with DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian and Regional Director Loreto V. Cabaya, Jr., the Politiko’s effort aligns perfectly with President Bongbong Marcos’ vision for a “Bagong Pilipinas.” This week, officials from various agencies, including PSWDO, DSWD-12, MSWDO, BLGU, and OPAg, monitored the cash-for-work activities of 452 beneficiaries across several barangays in Arakan. These locals will earn P368 daily, contributing to a total fund of P3,326,720 for 20 days of community service. This initiative is part of a broader P18M allocation aimed at uplifting Cotabato.
