Gov Mendoza supports Kidapawan City FPTA’s ‘Dahil Bata ang Una’ program

Cotabato Governor Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza has expressed her support to the program of the Kidapawan City Federation of Parents-Teachers Association (FPTA).

The governor met on Thursday, March 7, the officials of the FPTA led by Ruel Anima and discussed the latter’s “Dahil Bata ang Una, Kaya Tayo’y Sama-sama” Program.

The program aims to assist students in Kidapawan City who have no birth certificate yet to get one with the help of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.

“Magsasagawa din ito ng lectures sa mga magulang hinggil sa karapatan ng mga bata at ang gangsterism na ayon kay Anima ay mahalaga sa pagmulat sa kaisipan ng mga magulang,” the provincial government said.

During the meeting, it said Mendoza agreed to provide P50,000 financial support to the group to implement its program.

The governor also expressed her happiness to help the association, which is the partner of the Department of Education and the provincial government in pushing for a quality education in Cotabato.
