Gov. Nilo P. Demerey Jr., MPM, unfolded today, April 19, 2024, in Surigao City, encompassing Surigao Del Norte and Dinagat Islands.

In his address, Governor Demerey outlined priority projects aimed at advancing the Caraga region. Foremost among these is the Surigao City Nonoc Island-Dinagat Islands-Leyte Road Network, hailed as a Game Changer project for the Caraga Region. This initiative promises to enhance economic growth by linking provinces such as Surigao Del Norte and Dinagat Islands through vital bridges.

Additionally, two of the top three priority projects for the RDP 2023-2028 include potentially upgrading the Caraga Regional Hospital to Level III status and establishing an Integrated Grains Processing Center. These projects underscore a concerted effort to prioritize both medical needs and grain processing security in the region.

Governor Demerey called upon all sectors participating in the program to collaborate with them in realizing the vision of the Caraga RDP to foster regional development through collective cooperation. He emphasized that all successes begin with a dream and can only be realized through action. These programs, he noted, started as dreams and are now being guided to fruition for the benefit of all Caraganons.
