Gov. Nilo Demerey, Jr. Backs Local Dance Group for National Hip-Hop Competition

Governor Nilo P. Demerey, Jr., MPM, showed his unwavering support for local talent as he provided a generous cash assistance of P50,000 to the Generation of Miracles (GOM) dance group in preparation for their upcoming competition this month.

Executive Assistant II and Provincial Youth Development Officer-Designate, Jhon Philip P. Tan, personally handed over the financial assistance to GOM members Bido Ishioka and Jury Anos on the evening of April 3, 2024, at the Yamashiro Building Cuarinta, San Jose, Dinagat Islands.

The funds are intended to cover expenses for the GOM’s participation in the National Hip-Hop Dance Competition at the Manila Theater and the World Supremacy Battlegrounds in Cebu City, scheduled to take place on April 5-7 and April 13, 2024, respectively.

Governor Demerey underscored the importance of supporting youth activities, particularly those that showcase their talents. According to him, backing such endeavors presents an opportunity for young individuals to hone their skills. Additionally, it serves as a platform to showcase the talents inherent in the province to a wider audience.

The GOM expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support extended by Governor Demerey. They emphasized the significance of representing Dinagat Islands on national stages, underscoring their commitment to bringing honor to their province.
