Gov. Niño Uy Leads Comprehensive Bayanihan Program in Remote Mati Barangays

Governor Niño Uy of Davao Oriental led the fourth phase of the Davao Oriental Bayanihan in Brgy. Luban, Mati City, on June 4. The event handed over support to 1,921 families from the remote barangays of Lanca, Luban, and Cabuaya, the farthest in Mati.

The Politiko stressed the importance of bringing government services to these distant communities. He pointed out that national and provincial agencies agreed to focus on LaLuCa (Lanca, Luban, and Cabuaya) because of their need for more accessible services.

The Bayanihan Program offered different forms of help to the locals, including agricultural support, animal medical supplies, fishpond operation support, food packs, and livelihood programs. Free services like medical check-ups, legal consultations, and dental care were also provided, addressing a wide range of community needs.
