Gov. Ruel Pacquiao Leads Strategic Meeting on Water Security and Environmental Protection

Governor Rogelio “Ruel” D. Pacquiao recently convened a strategic discussion with key stakeholders in Sarangani Province. Joined by Provincial Administrator Atty. Ryan Jay Ramos, Chief of Staff Atty. Stephany Velasco-Datig, Executive Director of the Environmental Conservation and Protection Center Cornelio Ramirez, and Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Alain Alcala, among others, Governor Pacquiao delved into updates on various projects aimed at ensuring water security and environmental protection across the province.

Central to their discussions was the ongoing Saub River Watershed Project, which plays a pivotal role in mitigating flood risks and bolstering resilience against associated hazards. Additionally, the proposed Lun Padidu Surface Water Projects signify a proactive approach to expanding water infrastructure to meet growing demands.

Moreover, initiatives in the challenging terrains of Mt. Busa and Mt. Latian underscore Sarangani Province’s steadfast commitment to environmental preservation and water resource conservation.
