Gov. Ruel Pacquiao’s Project Lawa at Binhi: Boosting Community Resilience in Sarangani

Governor Rogelio “Ruel” D. Pacquiao of Sarangani Province, alongside DSWD-Region XII and Maasim Municipal Officials led by Mayor Zyrex Pacquiao, recently spearheaded a major initiative dubbed “Project Lawa at Binhi.” This effort saw 169 beneficiaries across several barangays receiving ₱7,360 each for their active participation in rehabilitating vegetable gardens and fish ponds.

At the heart of Seven Hills Barangay Gymnasium, Punong Barangay Gromapil Reducto oversaw the bustling Ronda Probinsya Barangayan event. Here, Program Director Paul Allen Villamora and Sarangani Barangay Affairs Unit Program Manager Loradelle Solarte orchestrated a flurry of essential services. These included free senior citizen medicines, food packs, Tutok Buntis kits, and even free haircuts courtesy of the 38th Infantry Battalion. Medical check-ups by Dr. Jovelyn Flores and Dr. Jhonnace Arriane Magan, alongside the distribution of medicines, vitamins, and animal vaccinations, rounded out the day’s offerings from the Office of the Municipal and Provincial Veterinarian.

Supported by partners like the Maribulan Masonic Lodge 304, Sarangani Energy Corp, the 38th Infantry Battalion, and the Rural Health Unit, the Politiko’s administration brought these vital services directly to the people. This collaborative effort not only improves community well-being but also exemplifies a dedicated approach to fostering health, resilience, and progress throughout Sarangani Province.
