Gov Salliman leads groundbreaking of 15 barangay halls in Basilan

Basilan Governor Jim Salliman has spearheaded the groundbreaking for the construction of 15 two-storey barangay hall buildings in different municipalities and Lamitan City.

The Bangsamoro Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG) has earmarked P80 million for the project, the provincial government said.

The 15 recipient barangays include Malinis and Malakas in Lamitan City; Langil in Mohammad Adjul; Tablas in Tuburan; Mebak and Bakung in Sumisip; Atong-Atong and Baungis in Lantawan; Suligan and Babag in Tabuan Lasa; Bohe Lebbung in Tipo Tipo; Matata in Ungkaya Pukan; Apil Apil in Albarka; Shipyard in Maluso; and Manangal in Hadji Mutammad.

Vice Governor Yusop Alano and a representative from MILG joined Salliman in the recent groundbreaking ceremony.

Also present during the event were the captains of the 15 recipient barangays, the municipal mayors, and department heads of the provincial government.
