Gov Tamayo cheers on basketball team heading to MPBL game

South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr. wished good luck for the South Cotabato Warriors as they will face the Pampanga Giant Lanterns for a crucial game on Tuesday, February 27 in General Santos City.

Tamayo said he has high hopes for the province’s campaign in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).

“At masaya din nating ibinahagi na sa kasalukuyan ay meron na tayong 3-0 win loss record, at maglalaro para sa championship bukas Martes, February 27 sa Lagao Gymnasium sa General Santos City laban sa Pampanga Giant Lanterns.
Suportahan natin ang South Cotabato Warriors!,” the governor announced on Monday.

The local chief executive also thanked MPBL founder and former Senator Manny Pacquiao for supporting homegrown hoops talents.

“In partnership with our friend and former Senator Manny Pacquiao, we now have a basketball team in the MPBL – the South Cotabato Warriors!”
