Gov Uy extends aid to 3K residents in Mati City

Davao Oriental Governor Niño Uy has led the distribution of assistance to 3,000 tricycle operators and drivers, farmers, and fishermen in Mati City.

The activity held Friday, April 12, was part of the livelihood intervention of the provincial government to the vulnerable sectors of community.

Uy said his administration is committed to providing assistance to the residents of the province as everyone is struggling, especially with the extreme heat.

“Rest assured nga ako, ang atong Provincial Government magpadayon maningkamot aron makapangita og pamaagi para makahatag og kaayohan sa kinabuhi sa atong katawhan. Dili lamang pinaagi aning mga ayuda kundi pati na sa uban pa natong mga programa nga makasustento sa panginabuhian ug ekonomiya, sa tibuok probinsya,” Uy said.

He said his office continues to coordinate with various national agencies, such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Department of Labor and Employment, to provide more programs for the people of Davao Oriental.
