Gov Uy lauds authorities over seizure of P1M shabu, arrest of 2 suspects in Pagadian City

Zamboanga del Sur Governor Victor Jr. Uy has commended the law enforcers for the confiscation of over P1 million worth of illegal drugs and arrest of the two suspects in a drug buy-bust operation in Pagadian City.

Citing the report of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the provincial government said joint forces of PDEA and police conducted the operation Wednesday, November 29, at Dablo Street, Barangay Santiago.

Alias Maniho and Rose Gomo Gansad, alias Marites, were arrested.

About 150 grams of alleged shabu with an estimated value of P1.02 million, a paper bag, white envelope, two bundles of boodle money, and cellualr phone were seized from the suspects.

The suspects would be charged for alleged violation of Section 5, Article 2 of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 1992.

“Samtang gidayeg ni Gov. Victor J. Yu ang bag-ong accomplishment nga nahimo sa PDEA ug PNP sa padayon niining pakigbisog batok sa iligal nga droga dinhi sa probinsya,” the provincial government said.
