Governor Bingo Matugas Supports TUPAD Orientation in Surigao City

Surigao City – Governor Bingo Matugas witnessed the vibrant energy and anticipation as 2,684 beneficiaries gathered for the orientation of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program, held in collaboration with the dynamic Bagtik Team.

Organized with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the event saw two orientations accommodating 1,857 beneficiaries from various barangays including Taft, Washington, Luna, Sabang, San Juan, Cagniog, and San Isidro. An additional 827 individuals from Barangays Rizal, Sabang, Ipil, Trinidad, Nabago, Cabongbongan, Day-asan, Canlanipa, Mat-i, and Punta Bilar actively participated in the program.

“I am eager to receive my salary next week after 10 days of working in the community,” expressed a beneficiary, reflecting the shared enthusiasm. Governor Matugas emphasized his support for the program, highlighting its significance in empowering Surigaonons.
