‘Hayahay sila’: Nuñez bares ‘corruption’ in GenSan infra, feeding program

General Santos City Vice Mayor Rosalita Nuñez exposed on Thursday what she said are red flags of possible corruption under the Pacquiao administration.

In a press conference, Nuñez said she received information that the administration would make 20 percent “advance” of the total cost of infrastructure projects in the city.

“Hayahay sila, and accordingly, wala ko magsulti nga tinuod. Matod pa, kada usa ka project, 20 porsyento advance, matod pa,” the vice mayor said.

Nuñez also bared alleged overpriced scheme in the city’s Supplementary Feeding Program to school children.

“Itlog nga tag-P5, makita nimo sa papeles, P8, katong gagmay ha. Di bale kung usa ka dosena ang gipalit, 514,000 eggs. Imultiply nimo ang diperensiya nga P3. Gatas nga P8, pila? P15. Pilay diperensiya 7? kung imong imultiply 514,000 – milyones gihapon ang diperensiya,” the official said.

“Daghan pa kaayo… Dili ko mahadlok kay naay ko’y dokumento,” she added.

Meanwhile, former City Mayor Ronnel Rivera asked the residents to be on the lookout for corruption in the city government.

“Makita gyud nato ang disappointment sa katawhan. Specially, like I said ang mga corruption nga nanggawas karon. Very rampant gyud ang mga balita,” Rivera said.

“We as a citizen, we as a resident of our city, we should be vigilant. Bantayan gyud nato ang pagpadagan sa atong siyudad,” he added.
