IGACOS Mayor Uy turns over financial aid to calamity-stricken Davao de Oro

Island Garden City of Samal Mayor Al David Uy has personally handed over the local government’s financial assistance to Davao de Oro which was devastated by calamities recently.

Uy and his party on Tuesday, February 27, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga and turned over a check worth P500,000 for the flood and landslide-hit residents in Davao de Oro.

The mayor expressed his support for the people of the province.

“Always andam mutabang sa tanang mga LGU nga nanginahanglan kay ang Samal naay mga instances sauna pud nga naay calamity, nag tabang pud ang mga neighboring LGUs. This is also one way, nagtabang pud mi sa nagtabang pud sa amoa sauna. Always andam mutabang ang Samal,” he said.

Uy cited the resilience of Gonzaga and the Davaoeños despite the challenges brought by heavy rain, resulting in massive flooding and landslides, as well as the earthquakes that hit the province early this year.

“One thing nakita nako kay Gov Dot-dot is wala sa vocabulary ang word na surrender,” he added.
