Kidapawan City LGU pushes for ‘superworm’ livelihood

The Kidapawan City government has started propagating superworm, which could be a good source of livelihood for the people.

Quoting the Highlands United Beekeepers Association of Kidapawan (HUBAK), the city government said maintaining the superworm or the larvae of the darkling beetle would be cheap but it could be sold for P8.00 each.

“Sa kasalukuyan, sinisimulan na ng KIdapawan City Agriculture Office ang pagpaparami ng superworm,” it said.

The HUBAK is an organization, which is supported by the local government. It is composed of individuals who are breeding bees.

The group also pushes for Food Security and Livelihood Program, which is one of the priorities of the local government.
