Lanao del Norte moves to address rising cases of dengue, measles – VG Lim

Lanao del Norte Vice Governor Allan J. Lim has led the Provincial Health Board Meeting to address the alarming cases of dengue and measles in the province.

Lim represented Governor Imelda “Angging” Dimaporo in the recent meeting held at the Provincial Capitol Building, Pigcarangan, Tubod town.

During the meeting, the provincial government said Lim stressed the need to mitigate the outbreak of the diseases.

According to the data presented by the Provincial Health Office (PHO), there were 516 recorded cases of dengue as of March 24, with 121 confirmed cases, 262 suspected cases, and 133 probable cases. Municipalities of Magsaysay, Baloi, Pantar, and Sapad were some of the communities with reported dengue cases.

Meanwhile, as of March 2024, Lanao del Norte has recorded the highest number of measles cases in Northern Mindanao, with 58 cases. Among the 22 municipalities, the Municipality of Baloi has the highest incidence.
