South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. has flown to Canada to attract more investments into the province.

The provincial government said the governor met in Vancouver Canadian Filipino Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (MLA) Mable Elmore, Parliamentary Secretary for Anti-Racism Initiatives, Philippine Consul General to Vancouver Arlene Magno, and some Filipino migrant leaders.

Tamayo graced a flag-raising ceremony, which according to the provincial government was a symbol of unity and cooperation between nations.

“With unwavering dedication, he (Tamayo) carries the hopes and aspirations of his beloved hometown, province of South Cotabato,” the provincial government said Monday, June 5.

The governor also was the guest speaker in the Filipino Migrant Appreciation Night with the Filipino community in Vancouver.

“Truly, his diplomatic efforts transcend borders as he continues his commitment to attract investments that will drive economic growth in our Province,” the provincial government said.
