Marawi City Mayor Gandamra hails PMWC’s support for gender equality, women empowerment

Marawi City Mayor Majul U. Gandamra has graced the 18th founding anniversary celebration of the Philippine Muslim Women Council Inc. (PMWC).

The celebration, with the theme “Celebrating Milestones: Embracing Filipino Muslim Women’s Potential,” was held at Lim Ket Kai Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City Sunday, February 18.

PMWC is an active affiliate of the National Council of Women in the Philippines (NCWP) and the only Filipino women’s nongovernment organization represented in the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW).

Its role is significant in shaping policies and initiatives that support gender equality and women’s empowerment.

“I am honored to celebrate this milestone with you all and embrace the potential of Filipino Muslim women together,” Gandamra said.

“May the years ahead bring even more remarkable achievements and success to PMWC and the communities you serve. Let us continue to support and uplift each other, fostering a world where every woman has the opportunity to lead, thrive, and contribute to society,” he added.
