Marcos pledges P10M for GenSan’s livelihood programs

General Santos City Mayor Lorelie Pacquiao said on Thursday that additional P10 million will be allocated by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. to support the city’s livelihood programs for disadvantaged and displaced workers.

The local chief executive confirmed to Politiko that Marcos has committed to give the P10 million fund for the city. She said the city government has started profiling the target beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers program (TUPAD).

“Nag request ta kay Pangulong Bongbong Marcos og P10M para ana. Kaluy-an na approved diresto, daghan napud ta matabangan puhon,” Pacquiao said.

During the Labor Day celebration, Pacquiao led the distribution of TUPAD Payout to some 1,348 beneficiaries.
