Mayor Antonio Libuangan Updates Laak Residents on ECT and CARD Programs

Mayor Antonio Libuangan provided an update on the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) program for the Municipality of Laak, addressing several concerns from residents.

Responding to inquiries about the ECT P4980 distribution, Mayor Libuangan explained that the release is still ongoing in Maco, Nabunturan, and other towns in Davao De Oro. As a result, there is no schedule yet for Laak, as priority is given to areas more affected by the recent calamity.

Regarding the Cash Assistance and Rice Distribution (CARD) program by Vice Mayor Honeyboy Libuangan, the mayor clarified that the release has been temporarily held. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) staff are currently focused on the ECT distribution throughout Davao De Oro, which has caused a delay in the CARD program.

Mayor Libuangan also addressed concerns about whether specific households were listed for assistance. He assured residents that if their names are not on the list, it might be under another household member, such as a parent. He advised residents to visit their barangay for clarification if they are not listed.

Mayor Libuangan urged Laakeños to be patient and contact SB Member Yeng Libuangan for further information.
