Mayor Ben Canama and Local Leaders Distribute Aid in AKAP Program Launch

Mayor Ben Canama actively participated in the “Ayuda Para sa Kapos ang Kita Program” (AKAP) launch, an initiative by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. aimed at providing financial assistance to the most economically vulnerable sectors of society.

The event took place yesterday at the Ozamiz City Gymnasium and was held simultaneously across various locations, with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) distributing cash assistance to beneficiaries.

The event saw the participation of The Hardworking Governor Henry S. Oaminal, Congressman Ando Oaminal, and several mayors from different municipalities, including Clarin Mayor Jojo Dacer Roa, Don Victoriano Mayor Dodong Murallon, Sinacaban Mayor Dello Lood, Tudela Mayor Samuel Parojinog, Tangub City Councilor Hipolito Jun Roxas, and other local officials.

Approximately 2,497 motorcab drivers and operators, including those from Tangub City, received ₱3,000 each to help with their daily needs. Mayor Canama personally greeted and checked on the Tangubanon motorcab drivers who received the aid, and they expressed their deep gratitude to President Marcos, Speaker Martin Romualdez, Governor Oaminal, Congressman Ando Oaminal, the DSWD, and the LGU Tangub for the substantial assistance.

The AKAP initiative aligns with the vision of “Bagong Pilipinas,” focusing on inclusive growth and social welfare. This program highlights the government’s commitment to supporting its citizens, especially the least, the last, and the lost, ensuring no Filipino is left behind in the journey towards progress and prosperity.
