Mayor Cadungon leads distribution of cash aid to families of Antipas road mishap

The local government of Antipas, Cotabato led by Mayor Cris Cadungon, has extended assistance to the families of the road accident in the municipality where at least 17 people reportedly died.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) facilitated the distribution of cash aid.

“Ang tagsa-tagsa nga pamilya sa mga biktima amo ang nakadawat balor P15,000 nga dugang bulig alang sa pagpagaan sa ilang pinansyal nga palas-anon karong panahon sa kasubo,” the Antipas local government said.

Cadungon also expressed his support and heartfelt sympathies to the affected families.

Citing the initial report of the Regional Forensic Unit 12, together with Antipas Municipal Police Station, MDRRMO, and Municipal Social Welfare and Development, the local government said 17 bodies were recovered following the collision between a dump truck and a utility van in Barangay Luhong in Antipas town on Monday, March 25. Both vehicles caught fire due to the impact of the accident. The victims were burned to death.
