Mayor Dalipe assures support to new Zamboanga City Police Office leadership

Zamboanga City Mayor John Dalipe has assured the local government’s unwavering support to the new leadership of Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO).

PCol. Rainier Diaz formally assumed his post as the Officer-in-charge of the ZCPO on Monday, March 4.

He replaced PCol. Alexander Lorenzo who was reassinged to the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit of the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management (PHAU, DPRM) in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

The turnover ceremony, held at the ZCPO headquarters, was presided by Police Regional Director Brig. Gen. Bowenn Joey Masauding with Dalipe as guest of honor and speaker.

In his message, Dalipe thanked Lorenzo for his excellent service to Zamboanga City, as he welcomed Diaz.

He assured the new police chief of his administration’s backing and assistance for the safety and security of Zamboanga City and its residents.

Diaz, who is the head of the Regional Operations Division at Police Regional Office (PRO)-9 in Mercedes, will serve as ZCPO OIC Director on a concurrent capacity.
