Mayor Dalipe cites importance of traffic law enforcement, management in Zamboanga City

Zamboanga City Mayor John Dalipe has graced the training for the traffic enforcers in the city.

The City Human Resource and Management Office (CHRMO) initiated the activity for members of the Traffic Management Unit (TMU) and Task Force Ordinance (TFO) on Basic Traffic Management System in a bid to enhance and develop their skills on road safety.

Held in three batches, the training started on May 24 and will continue until May 26 with resource persons coming from the Land Transportation Office (LTO)-9. Modules included in the training are introduction of Traffic Management, Traffic Directions, Control Supervisions, Training on Law Enforcement, Fundamentals of Road Safety, Traffic Accident Investigation, Traffic Incident Management and Administrative Rules and Regulations.

In a message during his presence at the training, Dalipe cited the importance of traffic law enforcement and management as well as road safety in the city, which is fast developing.

“It is important to remember that road safety is not just about complying with laws, it is about developing a mindset of awareness, consideration and responsibility towards ourselves and those around us,” the mayor said.

He thanked the training participants for helping the through traffic management.

“Your commitment to attending this training demonstrates your dedication to making a difference in our city’s traffic management and road safety. Remember, the impact we make as traffic management professionals reaches far beyond our immediate responsibilities, influences the lives of countless individuals and contributes to the overall development and well-being of our city,” Dalipe added.
